The inaugural Women In Construction Awards were held in June 2024 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry, and Pennypop were proud sponsors and nominees, as well as attendees and awards presenters.
The glamorous black tie event, hosted by TV and radio presenter Ruth Scott, was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of all of the women in the room, with accolades going to some of the highest achievers and trailblazers in the construction industry.
There were 15 awards handed out on the night, each by representatives from the industry. Awards ranging from celebrating rising stars to recognising strong leaders and female led teams were distributed to a room full of talent.
As the gold sponsor of the awards, Pennypop owner Iris Kavanagh said: “Bringing people together to celebrate hard work and give recognition is always great. We’re proud to sponsor this event as a female-led, new Irish business, supporting an event focused on championing women in construction.”
We were delighted to present PM Group with the Diversity and Inclusion Champion award, and the people and talent team from Ethos Engineering with the Best female led team award, sponsored by Pennypop.
Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees and we can’t wait to see this event grow into an annual recognition of women in construction. It was an enjoyable evening and a fantastic networking opportunity.
